You guys that have finished your builds, what parts should i replace to get to the proper parts count? I know that there are several combinations of parts to get there, what has worked well for others? This is clearly my first hk build. Thanks for the help. (I'm really looking for parts that you have used and liked. Money IS an issue, I just got married) Its an HK 91.

You must have at least 6 US parts out of the ATF list of 16 parts
if you do not have a muzzle device.
With a muzzle device you must have at least 7 US parts out of the
listed 17.

ATF Parts list for HK-91
4.Trigger housing
5.Pistol grip
9.Bolt carrier
11.Charging handle
14.Magazine body
15.Magazine floorplate
16.Magazine follower

*17.Muzzle device * This item is optional ,if the weapon has it then
17 parts MUST be counted .If not, then 16.
If the barrel is threaded ,it counts as a muzzle device.
(I know ,what idiot would leave a threaded barrel naked ?)

My US parts are :
1.Barrel -JLD
2.Trunnion -JLD
3.Receiver -JLD
4.Charging handle -JLD
6.Pistol grip -JLD
7.Flash hider -IGF (Investment ,grade ,firearms )

I HIGHLY recommend JLD parts.
They meet or exceed the original HK stats.

I also recommend avoiding using US mag parts as your required
US parts.
At $2-$3 a piece for new G3 mags,it's worth the savings to
just use something else.
Plus you can always grab any G3 mag and not worry about it.

The IGF flash hider perfectly mimics the HK part in exact demensions,
in case you wish to mount a bayonet.
It doesn't have the silver metal locking ring of the HK FH ,and
is marked IGF so you can tell it is US made.

Hope that's helpful.
