Immediately below the front sight in the front of the weapon if the adaptor is in place.

The plug is held in place by a spring loaded ball bearing so you have to remove the plug and install the adapter to fit the factory bayonet.
There are some bayonets that have the the adapter built in to them, one less small part to loose. Can't remember who makes them and mine is in the gun safe in another state right now. |

Would the mount be considered a bayonet lug ? If not I might be able to get away with it here in NY
 .

Try www.robertrtg.com He's got them, as a matter of fact I have a bayo lug on order now.He also has bayo's as well as alot of parts, mags, at reasonable prices.

If its a real HK91 I don't see why you couldn't have a Bayonet lug on it in NY. It would be pre 1994 |
