I've heard it pronounced "Tryjicon" by some. I've always pronounced the first syllable the same as I do "trigger".

So, which is it?

I don't know that there is a right or wrong. Everyone pronounces it a different way. you will never get anyone to agree on what is right or wrong. I liek to use proper pronunciations, but i've jsut given up on it.

EDITED: Trijicon is pronounced: tri-jig-con

So the "tri" part is pronounced as "try"?

The "tri" part is like in trigger.

How do you say tritium?

CHRIS

I believe it's:

Trijicon - "trih-jih-kon"
Tritium - "try-ti-yum"
Leupold - "lew-pold"

Correct me, please!

Tridgicon

Like ridgid....tridgid...take off the "d"...add "con", as in convict.

Tridgicon...Trijicon

No reason for the first "i" to be like "try" unless the owner of the company is an artsy fag of some sort.

Because that's what I was told once by one of their representatives at their 800 number.

www.trijicon-inc.com/

However, I've heard Leupold reps pronounce the name Leopold. Go figure.

I think DevilsAdvocate has it right.

I've always said it like "trigger" rather than "tricycle", but at the range I frequent they all say it like "tricycle".

Things that make you go "Hmmmm....."

And because I AM the Devils Advocate, I must also include the fact that Trijicon systems use THREE dots, which COULD lead to the pronounciation of "Tri" as "try".

I confuse myself.

Holy shit, that's funny. Though I have always pronounced it Try-Jih-Con.

That's fine. Call me a Sally...just let me get back to my knitting.

Oh...and its Lou Polled.

Tri-ji-con, all "short" vowel sounds.

tri-ti-um, first syllable pronounced like the first syllable of "trigger" or "trick", second is pronounced like the letter "T", third syllable rhymes with "dumb".
