Standard, no frills. That's the way an Infantry rifle should be. Relatively idiot proof. I have been considering putting a scout mount on my M-14S. I'm having a hard time convincing myself that it's the right thing to do.

the only way I could afford right now,standard,w/syn stock and iron sights.Just got it last week and have only fired 80 rnds through it.Have to say it has the best trigger of any rifle I own.

After lurking for 3 yrs. , here is my first reply................... M1A standard, bush in a heavy wood, standard synthetic, and loaded in a synthetic.

Pre ban standard, E2 stock, black wrinkle upper hanguard, iron sights! Just installed a new USGI flash hider, using the E2 muzzle brake is hard on the finish! Now the brake is just for show!

i have a early 5 digit standard, all USGI parts with NM sights that i fitted my self as wel as a shimmed gas system and a reamed out FS. This combination keeps has put me in Master class and if i can ever manage to stop screwing up a relay or 2 i could make High Master

M-21 set up Smith base with Swan DT mounts 22l NM iron sites synthetic stock with an aimpoint on Swan mount as a back up to a Leopold mark IV 10x scope made by G.I. Williams.
My other is a Super Match made by G.I. Williams

I like the scout cause I don`t have it. I do hace a Loaded M1A. It was my first rifle I got after I turned 18.Of course I also want a preban to E2 it up.

Standard,Freds synthetic camo "Ambush" stock,Smith mount,Leupold scope.I keep my walnut stock in the closet.It's so pretty I'm afraid I'll scratch it.
