I have a Springfield M1A Scout rifle. I need to remove the muzzle break to install the system onto a Sage stock. Is the muzzle break blind pinned? How do I remove the break without damaging the break or barrel?

Remove the front sight and theres a hex screw in the front of the front sight base, that pins the nut in place.

You may need to get some castle nut plies to get the nut off as sometimes its REALLY on there.

+1 for the castle nut pliers.

Don't even try it without those!

Also (with the special Castle Nut Pliers and after having removed the tiny Hex screw locking the nut), use Liquid Wrench and a Gas Cylinder Wrench. I couldn't do it without the later two (on my Scout).
