I know, I know...There's that "H" word again. But,,,

This Hesse is a bit different. It is a single-shot bolt gun on a standard wooden stock (looks pretty beefy).

Anyway, it is less than $1,100.

Remove the stock, throw it away and make a cool military-style stock for it!

It comes with a picatinny rail on it=)

do you have a pic? Seems to me that even Hesse couldnt srew up the reliability of a single shot.

Get this thing, lose the stock, make your own free-float stock in a bull pup config.

Why beat the hell out of a good AR lower?

There's lots of ways Hesse could screw up a single action bolt gun, and they probably have.

I'd avoid that thing like the plague.  After all, it's not just a .223 going off next to your face, it's a .50 BMG round.  I only have one face.

o.k., so let me get this straight, knowing the quality and reputation of hesse, you want to touch off a .50 cal round inches from your head, and the only thing between you and all of that energy has "hesse" written on it?????????

i'd rather drink paint thinner and piss on a campfire.

Hesse doesn't build the barrels, they are probably the same barrels everyone else uses.

As far as the action goes, probably the same situation.

Hey, it was just a thought!

... Well, even though I ordered an Advanced Long-Range Systems, LLC upper AR15-.50BMG conversion last Friday I decide to buy the Hesse pictured above today as well.

... I'm in the engineering business and have many Stress engineering and metallurgist acquaintances. I'll magnuflux the action and remote fire some hot loads. For $1199 I guess I can always take it up in small claims if it doesn't perform.

... If it is simply workmanship not up to my expectations I'll just sell it.

... My curiosity is just too high I guess. I just have to see one up close.

... The USPS MO hasn't mailed yet (tomorrow), any last comments from the experts here?

Give us an update on this, if you restock it with a Mcmillan Bigmac stock, may make a nice setup.
