I have fondled some but never fired one. That weird safety turns me off! I would pay the extra and get a Ruger.

I own one seem to be a good gun for the money

I had one and it is another "good gun for the money" then again any gun that's inexpensive and works is a good gun for the money. I sold it. If I want another single action .22 revolver I will buy a Ruger Bear cat.

I have one and would not recommend it. Finish wore through to bare metal after carrying for one day. It shot pretty well for about 200 rounds and then went to heck. Save your money and by a Ruger. $0.02

Bought one used from a friend for a good price. If I was in the market for a .22/.22Mag combo revolver, I would have to go with a Ruger. Like they say, you get what you pay for.

Yes the finish sucks and Ive had to put threadlocker on screws to keep it together but damn good shooter with 6in barrel ,though its only had about 2000 rnds sent through it, dont know how long it will shoot 10yrd 1in groups.

I won't be sorry, it may just be another gun that I owned at one time. Besides, from all reports, the Rough Rider is pretty good, no less accurate than the Ruger, but costs far less than half of it. Someone posted that the finish wore off of their RR, but I have worn the finish off of a Ruger as well as a Beretta, so thats not the end of the world. And if I have to loctite it together if the screws loosen...loctite is $4 - a SS Single Six is $340. I'll report again once I shoot it. |
