My nephew was out duck hunting and during his hunt his gun stopped extracting shells. He brought it over for me to take a look at and the extractor plunger and the extractor were gone.

After I did some research I ordered a new extractor and plunger for an 870 as they are supposed to be the same bolt. However, the replacement plunger appears to be too short or there is some other issue I am not aware of.

Any help would be appreciated
