So I'm at my gunstore to place an order for a HK USP .45F, and I'm talking with the owner and he mentions that HK is being bought back from those British people and will soon be owned by German folks again.

Can anybody else confirm this?

Yes, this is true.

Its nearing its final phases.

Go over to HKpro and go to the forum HK Talk.

This should improve things very much at HK

Here is HKpro's Update page. As things progress, the updates will be posted on that page.

What he says.

I hope they start caring about us civilians again.

It is amazing how the British wind up owning all these gun manufacturers while Britian is one of the most anti-gun countries in the world. Is it their way of continuing to try to disarm the colonists?

As for them being good to civilians, I can't speak to their overall line, but my USP40 is pretty sweet.

how long were they british owned? were any major HK items designed during the period? ive yet to see a USP leak oil or blow a fuse so i doubt the brits had much influence.

How would anyone know if they were better? They only served as poles for white flags. Maybe the ones from WWII are in better shape now because of that. You know:

French rifle for sale, never fired, dropped only twice (WWI and WWII).
