April 2002 issue:

Has a nice review on the Tromix .458 SOCOM.... but didn't Tony say he's closing up shop?  Lag time I figure..... Showed nice pics, sources for Ammo, for dies, brass, so on.  Still listed the Tromix address, but it forwards you to Teppo Jutsu (just tried it).

And, the cover story was about the Sig P226 DAO for the NYPD.  And insider info from NYPD people........Waverunner????

That's cuz Teppo Jutsu actually designed the .450 SOCOM.  Tromix just made the uppers for the round.

Teppo has now taken over and is making the uppers, as well as a few other cool calibers.

Waverunner,

"The SIG-Sauer E26 was recently approved as a carry gun by the NYPD.  For a time, the SIG-Sauers had been removed from the 'approved' list, but any NYPD officer who chooses this fine pistol will be very well armed."  That's what the caption of a photo said.

E26-9-SP   I think it's the 'model number' for the special P226's

Changes:  It has an external extractor.  Has tritium-insert night sights w/ the conventional 3 dot pattern.

It said that the reviewer tested the pistol w/ the type of ammo ya (NYPD) uses.....

Pick up the magazine and read it or just stand in the store.....
