Which soft gun case do you prefer? I have enough hard cases but they are a pain in the @ss to haul to the range.

Thanks, John

Currently I use a bagmaster, but I've been looking at Eagle and Blackhawk "discrete" carry cases in OD. They have more room on the inside, but they don't come with attachment points on the inside for scope cases and other accessories.

Tennis racquet cover for underfolders......looks just right.

Eagle or Ace cases. The ones with the mag pouches on the side are my choice. I have those cases for a few of my rifles.

Galati cases by far are my favorite. Good Price to Quality ratio. IIRC they are now the 'official' soft case of AR15.com and you can get a little off by ordering through them. Check it out in the AR15.com Merchandise forum.

BTW I have a Galati and had a King case (little brother to the Galati). I liked them both, but prefered the Galati with its slighly thicker padding.

BTW the Galti (& King) cases use closed cell foam padding. This type of padding does not retain moisture (unlike the cheap open cell foam that the cheaper cases use). Also, if you like to take your rifle on a boat or canoe this has another implication. If the cased rifle gets dropped overboard the case will float (with the rifle in it!).

Cheaper Than Dirt has an Uncle Mike's case for $32.46. I've got two of them, and they're great.

Galati cases get my vote. Then again, where I live, the neighbors won't freak out at the sight of an "assault weapon" or its case. City dwellers may want to be more discrete. Soft guitar cases are a good way of going unnoticed.

right now I have a soft "discret" case by AceI think) but I was looking into this "Breakdown shot gun case" that's also 36 inches. It's a hard case but shorter. It has no mag pockets but when I go to the range they get thrown into my ammo cans anyways.

www.eagleindustries.com If you want the best, IMHO.

I have owned several soft cases of various brands. Personally, I don't think any are better than Tactical Taylor.

Not sure if they have a web page or not, but they're out of WA state.

Really like the Blachhawk discrete carry case, it's very well made and keeps everything "on the inside".

Thanks everyone will let you know what I bought in a few days...
