Geez, sucker either ricochetted or I almost got a squib and tumbled, but damn.... 300 yards, it keyholed perfectly, and went COMPLETELY through the 1" thick boards the targets staple to.

Why is there no hole in the wood? The target is still stapled to it.

The older AMAX bullets did that regularly. A bullet strike to the brake will do that also.
Look at the exit hole of your brake and look for a copper smear. |

you can see light through that hole, barely  the exit hole was the size of a fist where it blew the layers apart

He recently installed a new brake too. Check out the thread called "Got Brake". I wonder if it didn't loosen up on him. |
