Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Going target barrel, suggestions?

Ok, so I'm going to continue to build up my 10/22. Looking to get a new bbl, something other than the factory install.

I'd like to go lightweight, somewhere between 16 and 20 inch, eventually add threads for the can. Heard of Green Mountain, Butler Creek, and WhistlePig, any others I should look into?

If you've got a good lead on nice aftermarket barrels, I'd like to hear about it.

Green Mountain has full floated lightweight barrels now.  I have no experience with them but they do look interesting.

+1 for the Tac Sol 16" barrel. I just got one and its really light and shoots great. Cabelas carries the Tac Sol barrels.
