i picked a knife up at a gunshow in '95.  it's made by gigand; fixed blade 11.25"OAL, 5.75" cutting edge, and 4.875" handle.  handle is a dark stained laminate.  the only writing on it is GIGAND with their "archer" logo.   the only thing i have been able to find out is that the company is from the Philipines, and they started selling knives under their own name in '95.  how's the quality of their knives.  anyone know what kind of steel they used.  it appears to a stainless of some kind.  i haven't really ever used it.  are they quality enought to even use, or should it stay in the "extras box" and give it to my nephew to play with when he's 10?  if it would help i could try to take some pics of it to post.

thanks!
