A few months ago I posted about my newly manufactured stock that split soon after taking it to the range. I originally intended for that stock to replace my WWII NFR stock just to keep it from any further wear/damage/etc. The CMP said to ship it back and they'd replace it.
While I was waiting for a replacement, I put the WWII stock back on. Mind you, before I bought the new stock, I had about 2,000 rounds through the rifle and the WWII stock held up fine. But since I put it back on and put less than 100 rounds through, it split in the SAME areas as the new stock!
I'm beginning to thing there might be something wrong with the rifle that is causing this? Or is this just
really bad luck?
Here's the link to the pictures of the new stock that split, the WWII stock split in the same areas, just not as badly.
