I assume it is going on a rail of some sort?

I use this. It's simple, sturdy, and strong.

I have the Knights QD attachments for the front sight tower and the carbine stock attachment (in the little slot just under the tube).  The sling removes in seconds with no loss of adjustment.  However, it takes up the inside of the front sight tower that some light mounts like to use.

I use a Knight's QD sling mount that attaches to their RAS.  Works great & can be removed in a flash if needed.

Personally, I would avoid a sling attachment to the front sight tower.  Although unlikely, if the front sight gets bent or moved even slightly you will not hit what you are aiming at!  I know, lots of people use them, but I'm just weird.  I also don't use any sight that depends on batteries, regardless of advertised battery life.  Backup batteries are fine (like CQ/T or TriPower), but if the sight becomes an expensive paperweight without batteries, I'll pass.

I was interested in the mount attached to front sight frame.
