I'm wondering if anyone has compared these two bullets.

I'm sold on the Hornady and I have a great load for them.

My local supplier was out of them and he had the Federal, so I bought 500.

Are the Federals worth buying???

I have always found Hornaday very consistent in OAL and my go to choice... Winchester comes in second and Remington third.

As always YMMV.

I've never even SEEN Federal components.

This.

I would love to find a source for Federal 223 jacketed frangible bullets.

So I'm not sure what to think about the Federal 55g FMJBT, I'll just have to try them...I put in a order for 500  Hornadys from Midway and they are on back order.

Their website had 11-20-08 as the expected delivery date so who knows when...

Yes I am Gunstop.com

For the most part, I shop there exclusively. John has helped me with all of my reloading needs and has been a great wealth of knowledge.

He has most everything and keeps his equipment and component supply well stocked. Give him a call 1-800-645-7644

His prices are good and I give him all the business I can, I love to have this source so close to home.

This has turned into a wonderful hobby and has made me shoot more often.

I stop by there weekly even if just to look and visit.
