I am going to buy an electronic powder dispenser/measure.  Dad has an RCBS set that seems to work pretty well.  I've also seen the Pact, Lyman and and Hornady models.  What are your experiences with any of them and what would you recommend?  My only experience is with the RCBS but I haven't read many good reviews on the Hornady.

Thanks!

I have the Lyman gen 6.

So far it seems to do well enough.

All shots taken at 100yds. Black diamond is 1/2" for reference.

Now if i can do my part and keep from getting that one flyer...

I'm just curious, how are you using 4?

And to stay on topic, I have a chargemaster. It was a huge upgrade for me. Love it

I like to measure every load and with 4 I can dispense 200 loads in 30 minutes.  I Like how 4 fit into my process flow and enjoy using them.

I'd love to see a video of that process. I'm assuming you have separate loading blocks for each chargemaster.

Rcbs. Either the charge master or the new lite version.

I just got a Chargemaster, it replaced a Lyman I had for several years. I liked the Lyman, but it started really acting up I tried to replace it and got a total of 4 bad units from 2 different places. I also tried a small Lyman and it was bad too, so I changed to RCBS.

I have no real complaints about my Lyman Gen 6

Only thing I've timed on it was 800X for 10mm -- 100 charges at 8.0gn took just under 40min.

I just got a chargemaster for dispensing extruded powders and I love it. I've been checking the first 200 charges and I've only had 3 out of 200 that were .1 grain off.

I did the straw mod and cut the end like a crown because everywhere I read said that keeps over/under charges to a minimum.

Another Chargemaster 1500 user here. One of the best Christmas presents my wife ever got me.

It got me back into extruded powders which I used to avoid as much as possible because I hate manual trickling.

There are a couple mods for the CM-1500 that are a must but they cost next to nothing and are easy.

That's one thing that really angers me. It would be so simple to smooth bore the last 1/2" of the feed tube and eliminate the need for the straw mod but as far as I know they haven't done it yet.

Another vote for the charge master 1500..

Reprogrammed it and bought the brass insert for the charge tube and it has been dead nuts accurate with one or two inaccurate drops out of every 100. Even the inaccurate drops are only + or - 0.1 off.

I am thinking of getting a second one because it is still slow with pistol powders for some reason no matter how I have tried to program it,
and I still use a powder measure for those.

I'm thinking if I get two of these going at the same time I will be able to load pistol powders quickly and accurately.

Another vote for the Chargemaster 1500 here, some of the best money I've spent on reloading gear.

Thanks fellas.  I ordered the Lyman Gen 6 and I loaded 20 rounds of .243 and it works well so far.  Hopefully it'll stay that way!
