Has anyone tired Duracoat in Gun Blue? Supposedly this coating is close to matching a hot bluing. I have a trigger guard on a sporting rifle that needs to be re blued and I am wondering how good this product looks. I know some of the sporting rifles sold these days are painted with a blue / black paint is designed to look like traditional bluing. Has anyone tried the Duracoat in gun blue?

I have it but haven't applied it to anything. I like the looks of it though, more blackish blue to me.

I have Duracoat Gun Blue and have painted a couple of revolvers with it. The paint isnt like a factory hot bluing. You could probably mix some black with the Gun blue to give that factory blue look but if you use it as is, you will be disappointed.
