more importantly and hopefully, does it emit a HUGE flash out of the muzzle?

Recoil is about the same as a 30.06 in a rifle of the same weight.  And the muzzle flash from the  Hungarian 1970's issue 7.62x54R I've been shooting is visible in broad daylight.

My M38 kicks more than my M44.  The noise and flash really annoys people at the range who don't wear hearing protection.

My Mossberg 500 with three inch super magnums kicks more.

Don't shoot it much though.<G>
