A bag, pouch, pack or something to carry a scope?  Say you were out and wanted so switch between your long range optic and go to a reddot you would need to have something to carry the long scope in that would protect it and be easy to carry on your person.

Anyone know of such a rig?  I have found some things that might work but most buttbags and thing like that are to short to fit a 15" scope in.  It would be nice if it had bands in side the pouch to secure the scope and had foam padding to protect it.

Thanx,

DD

Sounds like you mihgt want to get one of the Kifaru Long pockets (14" long, 8" wide) and sew in the elastic on your own. Im a big fan of custom gear.

i was looking for the same thing a couple of months ago, but mainly to store/pack a tactical scope in and couldn't find the right carry pouch..since then there are a couple of options you might check out, but they would need to be modified for your use....1) a small compression/stuff sack with closed cell foam or bubble wrap liner bought separately..sorry, haven't saved any links to them....2) BHI accessory pouch link - http://www.blackhawk.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=1209&d=
with same closed cell foam or bubble wrap liner..this might be a better choice because pals/molle are built in, but double check if diameter/circumference is adequate for you
good luck

Thanx guys...Yeah I never dreamt this would be a hard thing to find...My IOR Scope is 15" long and there are times I would like to switch between optics in the field but don't have any good way to pack it without worry about it...I have looked at the gear you guys were posting about and it seems to be my only option...Just wanted to check before I bought something and found out later I missed something...

Do you think you could modify a scope cover like a scopecoat to work??

I was trying to accomplish the same thing a while back.  I use one of BHI add-a-pouch.  The large www.blackhawk.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=1588&d= one is plenty long.  The pouch is not padded so I took some wool socks and slid my scope into the socks and then into the pouch.  THere was enough room left over to put my bipod in as well.  My pouch uses ALICE clips on the back...not sure if they have a MOLLE version.
