Is there a difference on a MIL-STD-1913 and a weaver sight rail. I'm asking because the HK G36 uses the MIL-STD-1913 rail and I wanted to put a arms or a bushmaster flip up sight on that rail.

you can use weaver stuff on mil std 1913 rails but you cant use Mil std 1913 stuff on weaver rails. a real 'weaver' rail dosent have groves that are deep enouhg. the bushmaster stuff will fit on a 1913 rail. i have used it before

Like stingerjg said, there is a difference between Weaver and 1913, aka Picatinney(sp?)

All of ARMS stuff should be 1913, not Weaver. Same should go for Bushmaster.
