I have a couple progressive presses. I Also have a couple single stage presses. I started off reloading with a Lee turret. Sold it to a friend and I miss the ease of change overs for making a quick batch of ammo I don't use so often (mostly odd size rifle and pistol stuff 38 S&W, and some other C&R stuff)...

I know I could go back to the Lee and be happy.. But it was never perfect.

If I go with a Redding, why the heck do I need 7 holes? Anyone use all 7 for any one given caliber? Example? or do you add multiple calibers to same turret?

On my Lee, I put all the rifle size die on one disk. Then I used separate disks for actual loading.

Lastly, can you use the dillon trimmer on the Redding T-7?

Happy T7 owner here. Very versatile tool that can turn out match grade ammo. I have one set up in .308. I can neck size, FL resize pushing the shoulder back by 1/1000, measure cool stuff, pull bullets and then just flip over to .243 for the same thing. The primer capture system is very good and keeps your bench clean.

Your T7 is certainly sturdy enough to handle the dillon trimmer. However I use a Giruad.

I have two T-7s on my bench.

Form and function are top-notch.

Setting the dies once is a major advantage - popping the heads in and out takes 2 minutes.

I have the control and specificity of a single stage with all the speed I care to introduce into this process.

Highly recommended.

But 7 holes????? really needed? Why if not to put more die on one? I guess I am not seeing how this is a true turret... just a press with a lot of die on top.

For instance, I'm running .41 Magnum and .44 Magnum on one turret head-- size/decap, case beller, and bullet seater dies for each plus a station for a powder meter. That's three dies x2 plus the powder dropper. (Though I just sprang for an RCBS Chargemaster to automate the powder-- I love that every charge is weighed, especially since we're shooting these things at 300-600 yards at the Elmer Keith Shoot. Anything I can do to make everything as uniform as possible, I will cheerfully do.)

I use mine to hold all the odd-ball dies.  It is not populated for reloading and I wouldn't use it in a semi=progressive mode.  Rather, it has a Lee universal decapper, a couple of FL sizing dies so I can decap and resize before trimming, it has a Redding instant indicator for 260 Rem, a Sinclair neck expander die, ... all the weird stuff.

As they've said, it's a nice press.  If you want a "set it and forget it"** press, this could work for you.

When I do volume reloading, it is on my Dillon.

**  Nothing should be forgotten, always check your setup before proceeding.  The thing is, I've only needed to check and haven't yet had to adjust.  Adjusting is what takes the time.

I use the extra hole for a decapping die or a blank space for priming on the press.

With the T-7 priming system, the top of the case comes up just above the turret head (in order for the priming arm to be placed into the ram).

Priming .308 and larger requires a blank space in the turret.
