When I put the DSA trigger group and the extended selector in does that make it non full auto?

The DSA extended selector cannot move to the full auto position. That's all it takes to prevent the extra movement to the FA position.

Even in the FA position your FAL is a semi due to upper receiver differences.

There is more to a FA than just the selector. The semi auto lowers have a semi auto ejector block installed in the rifle which prohibits the installation of the auto disconnector in the rilfe.

You can have any kind of selector in the a rifle with a semi auto lower and it will only shoot semi-auto.
