I have heard November for the real deal...

Edit: I jumped the gun so to speak when I posted the link... When I first saw it, thought it was exactly what you were looking for until I re-read the specs and saw it was a replica flashider. Tried to edit my post before anyone saw it...

I think DSA is simply making their own, exact copy of the Belgian model, but I can't swear to it. I just happen to have one of the real deals, bought years ago and saved for a "special ocassion"...which is to take place shortly!

Alright, color me stupid, what makes it a Congo?

The old "Congo" model as it was called...but I don't know if it was ever officially designated as such...was a short barreled (16-18in.) FAL with full stock...as opposed to the folding stock "Paratrooper".

You mean like this?

Yes, that model, but note item #4 in the specifications column:

"18" barrel with short Belgian replica flash hider"

And non-folding stock.

I know...but you were mean to me

Seriously, in route and if you are seriously into it Lumpy, call Bonnie at DSA, she is a sweetie. She said they are taking pre-orders.

And I want one too, I'm building my own. DSA has a Para kit they are also taking orders on. Mine on DSA type 2 w/ Imbel chrome lined barrel. I am waiting to see who is going to make a Phantom or Vortex type FH.

I never recall seeing a "Congo" with a para-stock either?  I always saw them with the shorter 16" barrel and standard butt stock.  Oh well, it still is one cool looking rifle albeit on the pricey side.

Regards,
Gary

I don't get it...while I couldn't have a FH when I got mine, I just asked DSA to cut it to 18" and they did...

why wait?
