Just picked up a DBAL-I2 the other day and went to the range to zero the IR Laser and noticed that the adjustment dial clicks (if you can even call em that) are super weak and mushy. There really are no definable clicks. For a laser over $700 I really expected something more similar to steiner scopes when it comes to the adjustment clicks. Is this just my DBAL or all DBALs?

cannot speak on your model but my A3 has clicks that are audible and clear to the touch

Are you continuing to turn left a bunch?  Laser needs a positive load, meaning clockwise final adjustments to stay put.  It's explained better in your manual.

On mine, dbal-i2, each adjustment clicks and you can feel the detent catching each move.

My three CQBL-1s have mushy to non-existent R/L adjusters when going in a CW direction. My DBALs (I2, D2, and A3)have positive clicks no matter what direction or adjuster.

are you making sure to positive load when making adjustments? Sounds like that's the issue.

I did not have to make a CCW adjustment, only a CW adjustment. No positive load needed.
