Too bad no one makes them...

Carharts are pretty similar.
Link Posted: 4/10/2006 5:21:46 PM EST
Nah, they are not really BDU cut.

Something quite similar did used to be made though...the later new generation of Soviet field uniforms, as used in Afghanistan, were BDU style and close to Coyote in color, but they were discontinued when they went to cammies.

AyeGuy, you seriously have to be the king of camo by now...you probably have more hours of research into it than the rest of the AR15.com crew combined!

Did you look at BDU.com they have all kinds.

Sheriff brown is a bit darker but it's plenty close enough considering you're not likely to ever see true CB BDU's.

I started getting into uniforms, gear and weapons when I went into the Marines...in 1983. Lots of time to research!

Not to brag, but I know my shit. If I could only get some of those old Sov uniforms now...

I know you know your shit...it was a comlpiment if that wasn't obvious. <--- Woodland?

It doesn't look like anyone is making an 'exact' match to Coyote Tan, but then again Coyote Tan seems to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and even within lots of the same gear. Easiest way to do it would be to buy some khaki BDU and a $3 container of brown RIT dye.

Wow, those are close to coyote! You may have found your BDU's comrade!

I mentioned that color to Propper, along with some other ideas for alternative camo... didn't go anywhere. They'll make anything though if you can come up with a sufficient quantity order. Group buy perhaps?

Can anyone say "multicam group buy?"

Damn, that's them, sic! Thanks! I couldn't find them anywhere and thought they were out of production. I will buy some and see how they stack up.

Multicam is good, but somewhat over-rated and VERY expensive; too costly to use as a practical field/shooting uniform.

Why don't you voice your opinion to US Cavalry. They are making solid color uniforms in the uniform pattern of the ACU. I wouldn't mind a version of in Coyote/FDE or Woodland digital.

Wrangler makes some "work" pants that are very similar to BDU cut. Cargo pockets and all. The come in a OD green and a very coyoteish brown. Very durable, comfortable pants.

Its not the clothing line I’m interested in, its the multicam bed sheets, and I chafe with anything less than a 350 thread count....

I got some nice desert camo sheets at Walmart...

I got some ACU material at WallMark's, but haven't seen any camo sheets or I'd have them. Even feel tacticool while sleeping.
