We are in a renaissance.
Thought I was born too late.

Wonder how long it will keep?

Now the new AUG's, the countless AR manufacturers putting out amazing rifles, the FS2000, the other new weapons comming out... wow.

Don't know where to put my money.

I finally own that PS90 though... and a cool AR with the evil features. hooray!
Happydance!

I was in the same boat...in 1994 I was 17 years old and thought I was doomed and would never own a decent assault rifle.  Since the AWB sunset we've seen manufacturers stepping to the plate and producing some excellent products for the civilian market.  I've got a lot of respect for the companies that are not just making a profit off civilian sales, but smart enough to see that there is money to be made.  HK for instance is still not very civilian friendly although I hear they might be coming around with a re-release of the SL8 in a new version and more friendly customer support for civilians.

These are great days we are living bros....just hope a new AWB doesn't bring the party to an end.  I've heard from many dems on this board though that the party recognized the damage done to them by the last ban and may not as a whole push for bans any time soon.  Either way I think that President Bush in the shape that he is in terms of support would veto bans to keep what base he has left.

God bless America!

Right now it might not seem like it to some but we are in the middle of a very free eara. I could legaly own a full auto piston 6.8 M16 with a 100 round drum mag, a short barrel, a grenade launcher, sound suppressor, and all sorts of optics and blinding lasers and lights, if I had $20,000 to spend. It's pretty amazing.

Not that I'm against buying any gun "just because," but (other than the SBR/SMG implications) what can the standard TP9 above do that a regular 9mm pistol can't?

Other than then SBR/SMG implications?

Erm, nothing. But look totally sweet.

I agree, I think it is a Golden Age for gun fans.

The H&K clones are even driving the prices down on original H&K's so I can buy them cheaper now than 10 years ago.

I think the point of the thread is you can have three of those swiss pistols now if you wanted.

I love ARs...LOVE THEM. However, I love steak too, but every now and then it is nice to have something else for dinner.

I am really interested in the new designs coming out from the smaller companies.  Like Halo's 20rnd bullpup shotgun, professional arm's MP5 that can switch between three calibres, and Rhineland's rifle that looks like the Walther 2000.  All these new inovative firearms I just read about a few days ago.  Can't wait what shot show brings.

I agree this coming SHOT SHOW is going be one of the most interesting in years.  Can't wait.  It is going to be like freakin Christmas for gun nuts.

i'm more then a little concerned that a new AWB will pop up far before any of the new guns end up here in any real numbers.

10 years from now we'll be saying, "...yep, the reason those FS2000's are so expensive is because only a few made it out before the PERMA-BAN of 2007." like we do now with the SG 550's.

Has anyone found out how much one of them thar TP9s will cost?

SBR is probably the only way to go...but what a SBR...

I had a chance to run a mag through a TP9 as an SBR with an Aimpoint and a can on the end.  It was ok.  My biggest complaint was a little puff of hot gas came out of the back of the gun with each shot.  I wouldn't want to shoot it without glasses and still it had a way of drying my eye out!

That is no joke....our good friend the Wicked Witch of the West (aka Dianne Feinstein) tried to sneak a 10 year extension to the AWB into other legislation before it expired, but thank GOD the NRA was able to kill that.

Get your NRA voting guides if you haven't already.  I know it isn't the only issue, but it should be a factor in any gun owners voting decision process.  The Second Amendment keeps the rest of the Amendments alive.

If that happens i'm going to camp out on the Capital Steps like one of those protesting hippies still trying to ban the bomb.  I can't take another AWB.

I hear ya guys! I`m trying to get as much $hit as possible. Next week I`ll have my Colt 6450, and my AMD-65! Can`t wait to get the Beta for the Colt! And that AMD will be bitching with my 75rd drum!

Hell I`ll take that TP9 as well. Is it just me or does it look like a Steyr TMP?
