I'm working on putting together post-ban examples of the Israeli FALs.

This is my Israeli Heavy Barrel. It's built on a post-ban Imbel inch cut receiver. It lacks only the Israeli lower receiver and coupler to be as accurate as a post-ban clone can be. I have the Israeli coupler (it needs to be refinished) and all of the parts to assemble two Israeli lowers (with US H/T/S and pistol grip).  I ordered two stripped Israeli lowers from SARCO two weeks ago that should ship to me in the next week or so. The second lower is for this:

My Israeli Light Barrel clone to be. It needs the correct carry handle, barrel, and gas block. Carry handle is on the way and I know where I can get a gas block, but I'm having a little trouble finding a corrrect barrel.  I'm sure one will turn up. It's built on an Entreprise Arms marked Imbel metric receiver.

This is my StG-58. It's complete except for the rear sling swivel; I have one, but the US stock isn't cut for it so I need to get out the Dremel. Built on a gear logo Imbel metric receiver, early FN manufactured StG-58 parts kit, TAPCO post-ban muzzle brake, DSA QD bipod, and that's the TAPCO top cover scope mount.

I've got 2 handpicked G1 kits and a Grade 1 Imbel kit, along with a couple of gear logo Imbel receivers, waiting for me to find the time to build them up.

Nice projects. Any idea where I could find a gear logo receiver, and how much they are running? I'm not too concerned for my first kit. I'll probably get the $189 Imbel from FAC, but my next I might want to make on a gear logo or DSA receiver.

Both SARCO and The Dealer Warehouse have the Gear Logo Imbel receivers for $238.50.

Sarco is www.sarcoinc.com

Dealer Warehouse doesn't have a website (they have the back page of SGN every issue) and can be reached at 209-545-2800. They're in Modesto, CA.

Aren't those early FN made STG's nice? I have two, and I like them both a lot. Both are built on DSA receivers, one is a Type 1, the other a Type 2.

David,

Great looking guns, especially the two Izzys. What US compliance parts are use using? I wanted to build one, but with Izzy furniture I can't get the compliance parts high enough, especially with a foriegn receiver (I'm trying to avoid having to count magazine floor plates).

H/T/S, Gas Piston (DSA makes an Izzy), Bolt carrier and charging handle (Tapco has US made), Pistol grip.  Gunplumber fake FH on HB. Plenty of US parts

Thanks David, I was unaware that there was a  US made bolt carrier and charging handle for the Izzy. Looks like I now will be forced to spend more money.
