Bought a choate +2 extension for my benelli M1S90 and the extension threads on just fine its just that there is about 1/4-1/2 of an inch of exposed threads left on the gun. Its as if the threads on the Choate extension are not long enough. What am I doing wrong?

It's possible you got the wrong extension or a defective extension, (which is rare with Choate).

I recommend emailing or calling Choate and talk to them.  They may know what the problem is.
Choate is very good about this, and you very often talk to a Choate family member.

Kind of a long shot here.

Is the Choate a one piece extension?  Where you'd have to screw it on with the spring inside.

I've had the magazine spring wedge into the threads just so.....causing it to stop short just the same way.

Probably not it, but thought I'd mention it.
