I have a Remington 870 Express Synthetic. I was thinking of changing the stock to something more 'tactical', although I have no real reason to.  I was wondering what the expeirences were with those of you using either of these? If you have had a chance to try both, which do you prefer and why? I don't want to start a flame war, just looking for a good tactical replacement stock for the cheap synthetic stock that came on my 870 (didn't come with a sling swivel and is almost impossible to drill a hole to put a sling swivel on if you wonder why I say 'cheap' - I don't know if I would ever need a sling, but right now I have no choice).

I am not sure I would ever want an optics rail, but I guess it never hurts to have something you don't use vs. not having something you would.

Again, this is all just hypothetical 'want to' talk.

Buy the Argonaut Arms.  I did.  I'm happy.

The Cav Arms rail is too short.
