C&R when do I call?

I sent for my C&R license 4 weeks ago. From what I gather I shouldn't expect it too soon. At what point do you say to yourself " Its been long enough, I'm giving them a call" ? And where do you call anyway? Thanks zeekh

IIRC mine took between 7 and 8 weeks to arrive. That was a couple of years ago.

I just got mine. It took a little over 90 days from the time they charged my credit card.

It's a government agency which means that "hurry" isn't in their dictionary. How long it takes is probably more dependant on how many applications are in the works with yours at the time.

It has been about 55 days since they charged my debit card and I still have not got it in. It is probably sitting on some asshats desk and he looks at it everyday and says "Eh, I'll do it later."

be patient. save money.

the wait will be worth it once you are able to see the discounts you get with midway and brownells.

There is no rhyme or reason to how long it will take.
To get my C&R it took about 6 weeks and that was almost three years ago. When I moved I sent in my change of address well ahead of the move as required and instead of them sending me my new license (which would have expired in three months) they sent me back a renewal form with my new address on it. It took them almost 3 months to do that. I returned the renewal and had my renewed C&R back within 2 weeks. Their time ranges from great to absurd so who knows what will happen with any given application.

Don't forget Graf and Son and Wolff Gun Springs. They also give the dealer discount.

I got mine in June, just a little over a month after I sent off the application. I would assume things would slow down somewhat during the summer.

I mailed mine out on July 13th, ATF charged my card on July 18th (they sure got to that part quick!)

So, it's been a little over a month for me, hopefully I'll get it in the next couple of weeks. I've noticed i check the mailbox on a much more regular basis nowadays!

You're right it took them no time to charge the credit card.
