brouhaha-
I waited exactly 60 days, not counting mailing time, for my C&R. But, here's what I had to do: Go to the ATF website. Look around in the C&R section and you should find a regulation cited from the CFR's that REQUIRES the ATF to take action on an application within 60 days. They are very good about responding to email, and its way better to communicate that way than by phone. If you still haven't received your license within around 55 day or so of sending your application; send a polite but firm email in which you note how long you've waited and note the regulation above, to the email address for the licensing center. You should get a prompt response. I did, and better yet, my license was in my mailbox like 2 days later! I wasn't aware of this reg. requirement until I read something about it on the 'net, but it's great and it works as intended.
I apologize for not being able to find the specific reg. right now. I am at work and don't have time at the moment. If you have any trouble, you can email me directly and I'll be happy to help you find it or answer any questions.
HTH!!! Good luck and welcome to "cruffling"!
