For those interested, it appears that Bren 2 is shipping to distributors. There are a few on Gunbroker and the prices are reasonable. Who else is looking forward this?

Looks awesome but that bolt release in the trigger guard is going to be a negligent discharge nightmare.

My only gripe is that I wish they were able to make it lighter. That and I just got my stamp for my 805
 . With a loaded mag, optic, ACR stock/adapter, and suppressor on, is heavy AF.
I still want one, but not sure it will be justifiable |

Ordered one of the 8" 556 pistols the other night. Very excited about this.
My 805 is one of my favorite rifles and this looks to solve whatever complaints I do have about it. |

My FFL had one this week ...
The proprietary 7.62x39mm mags feel FLIMSY. 
I'll wait for the STANAG 556 rifle version, but hope the x39 pistol sells well so CZ does import the 5.56 rifle version. |

Here is a photo of a TFE1042, a jet engine made by Honeywell for the Taiwan Indigenous fighter program. See the extensive weight savings from the casing. Lots of machining work to reduce the weight, while maintaining strength.
