Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - CX4 side rail work on bottom?

I know they sell the side rail only for  $17 instead of the bottom & side together for $40. Does the side rail ( seen here ) screw on to the bottom for someone who only wants a vert. grip or something?

Unfortunately, no.   The CXR only has attachment points on the sides of the rifle.  The "U" rail as they call it attaches on each side of the rifle and the bottom rail is actually "floating" as it is an intregal part of the U rail.  I just put the U rail and a VFG on my CXR and I really like it.

Crap. I guess I havnt seen the bottom of the gun. Seems like alot of dough for a vert. grip. I dont really like the looks of the rail either. I wonder if its possible to drill it.
