I have a CETME manufactured by HESSE, ST Paul MN
 with wooden furniture & plastic pistol grip. I overpaid a couple years back ($500) when 6 mos later they dropped to $380, but have not had any problems. I was wondering if I have a POS by name, as I am well aware of HESSE ARs. Is this better or worse than a Century CETME? What things should I check for to see if it's any good?

You know. Im not sure if Hesse just sux at making AR's or everything.

Hesse is now called Vulcan Arms
vulcanarms.com/index.htm They don't make a Cetme clone anymore. ALL Cetmes are made from Spanish parts kits, some US internals , and a US made receiver. If you have had no problems - you were lucky  For all the info on the CETME - go here, and look in the CETME forum. www.gunboards.com/forums/ |
