I saw a Century Arms Sporter G3 clone with some kinda red dot optic at local shop for $475. I read some bad things about Century Arms . The thing looks great. Any info would be helpful.

The Century G3's are OK+ to good +, they can vary. Check the bore condition and bolt gap (.004" to .020", bigger is better. These also had standard sized rollers, if the gap is on the lower end, one can pick up .008" with +4 rollers after break in. Also check the iron sight alignment, CAI biggest problem was with canted front sights....maybe thats why the optics are there? Overall $475 is not a bad price with the optics, then a PTR-91 is only $250 to $300 or so more.
