Hello all,

I have 4 BC hotlips mags and 4 BC steel lips mags foor my 10/22. The steel live up to their name and function flawlessly. However, my hotlips mags, which I have owned for nearly 2 years, have feeding problems every couple of rounds. I plan on buying more steel lips mags to replace my hotlips.

I wanted to know if there is any modification that I can make to the hotlips to allow for better feeding?

Thanks,

djrpm

None that I am aware of. They are frustrating as hell when you get a bunch of them, and find that only a third to half function well.

They worked fine for a while, but I didnt think that it would take such a short time for em to crap out.

I just didnt know if its because the lips are wearing down or getting in the way. If they get in the way, I wonder if I could shave a little bit of the lip off.

Also, does the plastic follower affect anything?

I know that the steel lips have plastic followers, and I am wondering if I should get a completely steel mag.
