Nice pics, thanks for posting, and THANK YOU for your service Sir.

BTW, did you happen to have any Bullpup discussions with these end users?
I'd love to know what they think of their issued weapons.

Thanks again

Thanks!

Had a hard time communicating with the French.  My almost all forgotten high school French wasn't cutting it.  So wasn't able to gather their opinions on their weapons.

Spent the most time speaking with the New Zealanders for obvious reasons.  They mentioned they wanted the shorter barrel AUG's that their Grunts got.  They also thought the M4 was a better weapon and "Looked cooler."  (Meanwhile I was raving on how cool AUG's were.)  The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence I guess.

It might be telling that the Aussie who I assumed was SAS, but did not ask, is carrying an M-4.......

Bonus Pics of this wacky French Machinegun....  The other vehicle not pictured, had a M-2 .50 mounted.

Dude, our Border Patrol needs one of those armored French Humvee looking things.

Edit: I need one of those armored French Humvee looking things.

Looks like a Panhard VBL, don't know what that gun is though.

AA-52. Not particularly well liked, but used as a vehicle machinegun simply because there are so many of them and the extra weight isn't so much of an issue.

I will long regret not photographing the VBL I saw there with the name "Ricky Bobby". They're tiny things inside, this is me standing on the floor.

On the plus side, however, it was refreshing to be driving around with my head out in the fresh air, especially in late summer.
