With the SW mag conversion kit what do you have to do to get 100 round drums to work with your SL8? I heard there is a modification involved.

I emailed someone with a C-mag and an SL8 and he told me that putting the mag in isnt a problem but due to the location of the magazine release you will need a small dowel rod to release the magazine.

That sucks.

But hey, you get a 100 rounds!

I would hate to get to my outdoor range and stick the magazine in only to find that I do not have the rod with me. I guess when the ban ends and I get my pre-ordered C-mag I will keep the rod in the case.

When/if AWB sunsets get a SAW tower kit, it's taller allowing access to mag release. Or get a G36 magwell and tower kit. SL8 receiver will need modification in either case to accept magazines. Bill

I wonder if it would work with the SW Kit? The mag release issues is gone because it's on the side.
