Yep, yesterday I ordered an M4 (11707) from Impactguns.com. Apparently, there is some confusion over whether this 11707 version includes a "collapsible" stock, which contradicts what I was told by the lady at Benelli. Either way, even if it does NOT come collapsible, Benelli is in fact selling to civilians (as of Friday) a collapsible version of that exact "skeletonized" stock. So, I get what I want regardless of the situation.
As for the M1, I do not know. Once I found out I could get the collapsible stock on the M4, I figured that the gas assist, the receiver rail gave me enough extra value to justify the added cost. I already have an Eotech 552 for my AR mutt carbine (which will be replaced by an ACOG TA31F at some point), so I can just pop that on the M4 and I'm ready to rock. 3-gun matches, here I come....
