German factory, or POF curved 30's are the ONLY ones to get, IMO. The Asian mags are garbage.

Since the SW and BW guns are pretty much the same, you would think the SW mags would work.
That, plus the fact the SW mags cost $36 and the HK curved mags $69 (if you can find them), makes the SW mags worth a try. Order one and let us know. |

Opinions are also divided on the HK factory straight mags. They work really well with ball (FMJ) ammo, and are likely to be problematic with anything else. This is based on experience with HK94s. Some anecdotal evidence says it's a crap shoot with the clones. YMMV, of course.

I have a bunch of the straight mags for my HK94. I have never had one problem with any of them. using FMJ. I have never tried hollowpoints in them.

I am will to try the HK factory straight and 1 SW mag. I am waiting on the gun until I buy the SW mag. SW only has a 7 day return policy if it does not work.

hkspecialist.net has pof 30 round curved at $40 ea. Indistinguishable from German, except no date code.

Yeah, I bought a straight mag from CDNN and have three more in the mail from a board member, all genuine HK. My BW5-FS should be here any day now... |

Apparent;y identical. I have not tried them, just read reviews. Arizona Response Systems had a good review. If Gordon Miller as several curved German, just haven't had the urge to buy any more yet. For $40 ea I might try some POF mags. |

Well, I have finished my search for now. I currently have on order 2 factory straight mags labled "SD", and 1 factory curved mag. I will post how well they work as soon as I get the gun and have time to test.
Anyone looking for mags, I suggest looking in the forums. I did not find decent prices using google searches. |

I typed in MP-5 mags found curved mags.heyCDNN say they are 33 rds. I only can get 30 in them. But on an MP-5 you can NOT fill up the mags and still load with a closed bolt.The mag will NOT go homh Hope this helpshug.gif Adaptability is the key to survival. |
