My tools , punch that fits neck snugly (7.61x51 in this case) hammer , socket.
I do this outside , drop my empties in a bucket of water and sit in front of a brick to do it on.

Punch fits neck of cartridge

Remove from bucket full of water , in this case sink for demo.

Put shell on socket , start punch a little and hit it. Does not take to much of a hit

The rest explains its self. I can do 100 in about 10 min or so.
(chamfer the end of your punch just a bit for easy starting)

Hope you like it.

Huh, interesting.
Does it work well with crimped primers?

I tried it this way too with the swiss 7,5x55.
But it didn´t work well because the brass was in different size at its mouth.

Do you calibrate the brass before you do this?

I also did it with a formed screw-driver (like a peg tooth).
Fitted the brass in piece of hard wood with a drilled hole in it (a little bit bigger than the brass).
I put the brass upside down into the whole.
Than I took the formed screw-driver and hammered it into the primer in a flat angle from the side.
When the center of the screw-driver was fixed in the primer I raised the screw-driver carefully down, over the border of the brass.

Most time it worked, but sometimes the brass was damaged too much afterwards.

So I ordered the RCBS Decapping tool.
Not too cheap but very efficient.

Nice, I use a nailset and bolt in a vice and pry mine out. I'm damn near out of my hoard of RWS 5620's I just wish somebody had Berdan primers IN STOCK

This is interesting, and lead to the question is there a good supply of berdan primers out there?
