its a great gun.  I was about to get 1 but the night before i stumbled on a "used" (old man got it cause his son had 1, he shot 8 rounds and said he didnt like it) benelli m4 for $1100.  so i snagged.

Go for it, it's solid.  I have one with pistol grip and ghost ring sights.  The pistol grip takes me a good while to get used to, but being able to shoot with one hand easily is what I like.

I filled Form 1 in June to turn it into SBS.

I have a Benelli SNT and I LOVE it! It has replaced my Remington 870 as my bedside home defense shotgun. The Benelli SNT is not as modular and does not boast as many aftermarket accessories as the Remington or Mossberg guns, but you can easily mount a Mesa Tactical side saddle to the receiver and mount a light on the end of the mag tube (which is my setup), so what more do you need?  One caveat is that if you run the pistol grip stock, you have to loosen or remove the stock to remove the fire control group or disassemble the gun. Not a total deal-breaker to me, though. Aside from that, I find the Benelli SNT way easier to disassemble and maintain than the others.

Earler in 2016, I took the 2-day Advanced Tactical Shotgun course by Spartan Tactical Training Group. This course required 500 rds of birdshot, 200 rds of buckshot, 35 slugs, and 100 rds of handgun ammo. Let me tell you...there is no class quite like a class where you run a pump gun for two days. Sore traps, deltoids, and arms for a while afterward. My Benelli SNT ate everything I fed it without fail. With my Benelli SNT pump gun, I kept pace with--and outmatched--some high end autoloaders (Benelli M2s, a couple Benelli M4s, Beretta 1301s, a Mossberg 930, and an FN SLP). I took 2nd place in a class of 16 shooters in a round-robin man vs. man  speed/accuracy drill, beaten only by a guy with a fancy pimped-out Benelli M4 H2O with a Aimpoint Micro! A $400 pump gun vs. a $2,000 autoloader? I wasn't mad about coming in 2nd to that! The only thing I noticed running my Benelli SNT that was a bitch was that, due to the forend shape/length and the Mesa Tactical side saddle I mounted, I kept pounding my hand into the side saddle every time I worked the action. By day 2 of the class, my hand was sore and bruised. Still...not a deal breaker, I adapted and overcame by just moving my hand a little bit forward on the forend and problem solved. I have the Mesa 6-shell side saddle. This would likely be a non-issue with the 4-shell side saddle or without a side saddle altogether. Otherwise, it is easily overcome with training.

Long story short, I love the Benelli Supernova Tactical. My trusty 870 is now a safe queen. My Benelli now stands guard over me and my family.

Buy with confidence!

You will like it a LOT!!

I used to shoot 870s exclusively, but given my choice between them I pick up my Benelli when I head out most days...

Look at a upgrade to the recoil pad and mounting a sling (yes every shotgun should have a sling) and you are pretty much Good To Go...
