What's the lure of the M4 for those that have bought them at 1600 bucks or so?

What made you want a M4 over an M2?

Does the gas system reduce felt recoil?

Is the stock better as it collpases?

Any other reasons? It seems like extra money for something that then you have to fool with to make it the correct magainze capacity.

I don't own either, but it seems to me it's mostly about the tacticool factor. The gas op system was supposedly required by the USMC so it would run with bayonets etc. , but it seems vestigial at best. The limited mag capacity and 922r compliance issues are show stoppers for me (oh, and the crazy price, of course).

I think the M4 is a much nice looking shotgun, but that of course is strictly opinion.

The recoil is amazingly low on the M4s90

That alone is worth a lot of money.

I dont think that the one is actually BETTER than the other, just different.

I hear people bitching about recoil all the time. Man up and deal with it. Seriously, its a 12ga AUTO. Try my 4lb double bbl coach gun for recoil.

As for the M4s col stock. I dont care for it at all. Some people love it, but I honestly think that its because they are hard to find, and cost out the ass when you do find one.

If they could be had for $50, I doubt people would be as gaga over them as they are.
