Hello folks.
Did some of you replace 2-shot mag. extension for 4-shot mag extension after AWB died? If so, could you post a picture of your Benelli M1? (Post-Postbans only please) I'm looking at pictures on the net and Barrel should be a little bit longer than the mag. extension, but mine my barrel and extension flush. (at the same length) Did I install it wrong or is it suposed to be like this on post-ban M1 models? Edit: Heres what I'm talking about. Notice the barrel and end of magazine extension comes flush.

I thought you couldn't do that as the Benelli does not have enough US-made parts in it to make it a US-made shotgun.

From what I heard it depends on the stock...if your using the pistol grip stock it's a no-no.

It is the same thing with AKs imported from European countries. They are imported, then converted to legal status by the addition of a certain amount of US made parts. The law referring to this is known as 922(r). And since Benellis are not US made, they are not by definition US-made weapons, and hence, are subject to a different set of rules. But if you can find the right number of US made parts to convert it then go ahead. But last time I checked, there aren't many US-made Benelli parts.

Ok I got a hot question.....want does the BATFE count as a US part? This is my parts count at the moment
1. extended bolt handle [US] 2. extended bolt release [US] gg&g 3. SureFire forend [US] 4. scope rail [US] 5. enlarged safety [US] 6. Side Saddle [US].......I KNOW THATS PUSHING IT!! Thats 5 maybe 6 US parts so far......maybe more depending on what counts and what doesn't. |

I think when you start adding extra parts, the required parts count goes up, as I believe it's actually a percentage rather than just a fixed number. Anyone??? |

You're confusing your gun laws. You CAN now add the higher capacity mag extensions to your post ban Benelli AND keep the pistol grip. However, if you have an M1014 or M4, you can not, even now, add the collapsible stock.
I don't have a link right now, but this has been discussed several times before here. The evidence that I CAN offer is that Benelli imported semi-auto shotguns(M1 Super 90) with pistol grips and full capacity mags AFTER the importation rule went into effect, but went with the lower capacity mags as a result of the AWB. Its all to keep us safer.

CMOS: What brand ghost ring sights are on your marine magnum? I'd like to have some on mine. Did someone install them for you? I'm just worried about the finish being damaged if I get them basically. |
