My new knife just came in yesterday.  Its a beauty.  Scales are G10.  Any body know what G10 is made of?  Is it aluminum or Some kind of super plastic?  Anybody know?  Will try to take some pics soon.

G10 is fiberglass.

The 710 is a great folder, which steel did you get? D2 or 154cm? I recently purchased one of the discontinued M2 steel models. Here are some pics.

Thanks for the pics.  I got the D2 steel half serrated black blade.  Really a cool knife.  Thanks again.

G10 is a fiber embedded into an epoxy like compound.  The same way as fiberglass or even carbon fiber is made.  I believe that there are a few different fibers that can be used depending on the exact characteristics wanted
