[Last Edit: 12/9/2015 9:45:25 PM EDT by mks99]
I'm looking for some ideas on how to store bayonets that I've got piling up.

As I've been collecting Mosins, Mausers, Enfields, and even AR's I've been getting bayonets for them. Probably got a dozen or so.

Had them piled in the safe but the shelf started to sag!!!!  I'm looking for a better way to keep them and the scabbards. These aren't high dollar items but not cheap either.  The darn things are long and not exactly easy to fit on selfs except as just a pile which takes up a bunch of space.

I was thinking like a vertical pidgeon hole box or something.  ???????

Any other ideas?

You either need a sheetrock bayonet storage device, or a bayonet dummy.

I keep all mine in a GI footlocker.

I one of bayonets/knives, one of holsters, and one of vintage web gear......They are stackable.

This.. :(

I used to keep them in the safe, on a shelf.  Sorta correlated with the rifles they belong on.

That was when I had 10 rifles and 5 or 6 bayonets.

At 45 long guns and like 30 bayonets....  They got moved into tupperware.

I clicked on this thread hoping someone would have a cool solution.

I once saw a pic of a bayonet display made from a piece of 1x6 with they bayos "wired" onto it with florist's wire. The board hung vertically and the bayos were diagonal across the board.

This thread could use a pic...

Not shown are my 91/30 bayonet, and all of the "attached" bayonets.  6 SKS, 1 M44, 1 T53, 1 MAS 36, 1 Rasheed, and I just got another CETME bayonet that came with an FR-8 I just bought.

I guess I only have 26 total.  Hmm.

Wood dowels on a 1x6. displays bayonets in a vertical position.  Just need to turn the dowel to the required diameter.  Google gives you a lot of images.

Do a Google Image search for "bayonet display"

Lots of cool options.
