Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bayonet, U, ZSO, Anybody know history

Son in law came across an old bayonet, and we would like to see if any of you has any info on it.
Checked the search feature, and zip. Blade is 11 5/8 long, with wood on each side of handle, has an all metal sheath.

OK, on second look with the magnifier, it looks like CSZ, with an upside down U under it. This is when I have the blade in hand, with the handle away from me.
