Bavarian Forestry Police M1 Carbine from CMP.  This is a service grade rifle and according to some threads on the CMP forum, there were less than 100 Forestry Police service grade rifles available.  In general, I'm pretty pleased with the rifle itself.  However, the story behind these rifles is what makes it worth having.  It is a National Postal Meter with an Underwood 10-43 barrel.  Finish is near perfect other than the hideous trigger group.  Some nice cartouches.  Wood is nice, a little more dinged up than I'd like, but it is pretty enough.

I desperately need (okay, that's a lie... but I want) to go up to the South Store and pick up another carbine (or three
), but I just haven't had an excuse to be in the area lately.



I may just have to take a day off and go up there just for a CMP visit...
